UAE Exchange partners New York University for CTED
Center for Technology and Economic Development (CTED) conference aimed at exploring the potential of technology to help the developing regions around the world. Researchers and experts from information technology and economic development sectors presented ways to apply cutting edge technology to overcome challenges in communication, energy, health care and financial services.
UAE Exchange partnered New York University, Abu Dhabi, as Research Collaborators and Data Partners for this prestigious conference held at Hotel Intercontinental, Abu Dhabi on 12th and 13th February, 2012.
Titled “Enhancing Economic Development through Technology: Focus on Africa and Other Developing Regions”, the conference was organised by the Center for Technology and Economic Development (CTED) and The Ministry of Foreign Trade at New York University, Abu Dhabi.
The conference was addressed by H.E. Sheikha Lubna Al Qasimi, UAE Minister of Foreign Trade; H.E. Jerry Rawlings Former President of the Republic of Ghana and current African Union High Representative for Somalia; Dr. B.R. Shetty, Managing Director & CEO, UAE Exchange; Dr. Al Bloom, NYUAD Vice Chancellor; and Dr. Yaw Nyarko, CTED Director.
Officials from UAE Exchange, who attended the conference, taking an active part in the panel discussions, include Mr. Binay R. Shetty, Director, Mr. Y.
